From Portugal, Sofía told us about the possibilities to design the sound, first in the small scale and then for a whole city. In the very eye-centered western culture, is there a future for a different sensitive approach? Has the city some musical instrument behavior? The shape of the city and the sound of these shapes, in geometric and constructive outlook. Maybe geography is the answer for the urban scale: the sound of sea waves in Lisbon and the silence and reverberation of mountains in Santiago de Chile. Sofía Balbontín is an architect and musical artist.
